The sun is out and it’s time for celebration, the beach and the outdoors. Keep these top tips in mind to make sure your skin is well looked after and kept a priority at this busy time of year.   1. Omega 3. Essential fatty acids are called essential as the body cannot produce them therefore we need to consume them daily. Healthy skin function, radiance and glow rely on a good regular intake of essential fats. Ensure adequate intake by consuming oily fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines and eating nuts and seeds. A fish oil or Cod liver oil supplement is excellent for healthy skin.

2. Exercise.

Daily exercise is not only essential to keep our bodies and minds healthy; it also improves the condition of the skin.

Exercise is required to encourage fresh nutrients to the cells providing nourishment for cell renewal plus it is essential to stimulate the lymphatic system and the removal of toxins.

3. Sleep.

Getting your beauty sleep is no myth. A good night’s sleep is required for the production and regulation of hormones that assist with cell regeneration, rest and repair.

4. Antioxidants.

Ensure a diet high in antioxidants such as vitamin A, C and E to promote healthy skin. Include brightly coloured fruits and vegetables with every meal such as carrots, strawberries, pumpkin, kale, blueberries, capsicum, mangoes etc. Make sure your skincare range incorporates these antioxidants to ensure maximum cell protection, assist with collagen production and skin radiance.

5. Use SPF.

The biggest cause of wrinkles and pigmentation is sun damage. Using an SPF 50 plus daily to the face and next with antioxidants is your biggest weapon again fighting premature ageing.
