DIAMOND MICRODERMABRASION SYSTEM™

Microdermabrasion resurfaces the skin by gently exfoliating its outermost layer to clear dead skin cells and stimulate cell regeneration in the skin’s basal layers. Using a diamond-tip suction wand that encourages lymphatic drainage, dead cells are buffed from the skin’s surface, prompting production of new, healthy cells.

Derma Rolling, a non-invasive clinical treatment, uses microscopic needles to create tiny puncture channels in the epidermis (the skin’s outermost layer) and dermis (beneath the epidermis) to stimulate organic regeneration and renewal at a cellular level. The aesthetically invisible punctures trigger the body’s wound-healing response, stimulating repair and production of Collagen and Elastin for firmer, brighter, smoother skin.

How it works

Fitted with microscopic, surgical-grade needles, the Derma Roller is rolled over the skin’s surface creating invisible punctures 0.5-1.5mm deep. The roller releases electrical signals that stimulate skin’s natural wound-healing process, triggering essential minerals, proteins and cell-generated tissue factors to commence cellular regeneration.

Recommended frequency
For optimal results, Skinstitut recommends a course of 4-8 Derma Roller treatments (depending on the area targeted) to be performed at 6-8 week intervals. Your Skinstitut therapist will recommend a treatment course customised to achieve the best results for your skin. For stretch marks and areas on the body, we recommend 4-8 treatments performed at 8-10 week intervals.

Recommended recovery

Immediately following your in-clinic treatment, your skin may appear reddened, as though you have a mild to light sunburn. For some, skin might remain red and swollen for 1-2 days.

How it works
Microneedling With a Wireless Pen is a highly effective non-invasive treatment. The device uses medical-grade stainless steel needles that pierce the skin to reach the dermis, while leaving the epidermis (the skin’s outermost layer) intact. An electronic motor powers the needles to move rapidly in and out of the skin, creating micro channels that stimulate the body’s natural Collagen production, and allow topically applied products and their active ingredients to be absorbed deeply and effectively for maximum benefit.

INTRO TO CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are a sure-fire way to rejuvenate, refresh and reward the skin. Using a chemical solution that prompts the skin’s outermost layer to shed, a chemical peel triggers a repair response in the layers below. New cells are called to the surface, Collagen production increases and the body makes more Hyaluronic Acid to aid the process. The result is even-toned skin that looks and feels firmer, healthier and more youthful.

AHA ENZYME PEEL

Exfoliates, soothes and hydrates skin.

Suited to: those new to chemical peels and/or Skinstitut’s product range, especially those concerned that their skin is too delicate for chemical exfoliation.

This gentle micro-exfoliating treatment uses Papain Enzymes to gently polish the skin without irritation. Vitamin B3 strengthens the skin’s immune defence while Chamomile, Vitamin B5 and Hyaluronic Acid help to soothe, hydrate and address skin sensitivity. Skin is left clear, moisturised, bright and replenished.

PEEL ACCELERATOR

Brightens, renews and smooths skin

Suited to: most skin types. Especially beneficial for acne and acne-related symptoms, and mild pigmentation. For sun-damaged and photoaged skins, Peel Accelerator can be intensified with the addition of Vitamin C.

Downtime: minimal/slight peeling

A carefully balanced AHA blend of Lactic, Glycolic and L-Mandelic Acids helps to boost natural luminosity while decongesting the skin. Vitamin B and extracts of Kakadu Plum and Witch Hazel strengthen the skin’s immune defence, while powerful anti-inflammatory Canadian Willowherb soothes and calms.
